2025 Enterprise Competition
Pitches at the 2025 Final
This year the 2024-25 Emma Enterprise programme comprised two major components: a two-day residential Emma Enterprise Lab held on 7–8 December 2024, and the Emma Enterprise Competition which concluded with a pitching competition on 29 April 2025.
The competition final featured the ideas of 8 teams battling out with their ideas from new sustainable furniture (with product displays) to improving the way we learn mathematics with the help of AI. The winning team was ‘IntolerSense' led by current PhD student and former MCR President, Lukas Pin. Their idea is a for a smart app that helps people track their food intolerances and make better choices. Their team was mentored by Damian Crowther (m.1986). The Runners-Up were ‘Novigo’ (sustainable furniture, led by one of our undergraduate architecture students Charles Walton; mentored by Stephen Halstead m.1987) and ‘Virtual Balance Technology’ (new approach to flight simulations, led by two fourth year engineers, James McAllister and Daniel Maroto-Andresen; mentored by Ryan Walter m.2021).
