2026 Brewer Hall Poetry Prize

Extended Deadline: Wednesday 16 September 2026

The Brewer Hall Poetry Prize — a grant of £500 — is awarded for a poem or collection of original poems in English, of not more than 200 lines. It is open to undergraduate & postgraduate members of the University of Cambridge, of not more than three years standing. A shared prize may be awarded; it will not be awarded twice to the same person. Selections from the winning poem(s) are printed in the Emmanuel College Magazine.

Entry Requirements

• Prize entries should be anonymous.

• Entrants' name should not be on the poems.

• The collection should be typed & single–spaced.

• Each entry should be identified by a motto.

Submission Requirements

• Enter using the form linked above.

• Entries should be uploaded as a PDF identified only with the motto [not the entrants' name].

• The form will seperately ask for your name & contact details (College, email address).
